note: This is a Ford 3G (130A) Series Alternator for Ford Contour and Mercury Mystique. This Has a Narrow Mounting Spool at 6: 00, and a Slightly Longer Adjusting Ear at 1: 00. There is No Rear Mounting Ear. Ford Has Issued a TSB (#98-9-10) About This Unit Possibly Not Charging in the Vehicle Due to a Bad Connection at the B+ Terminal. The Suggested Repair is to Replace the B+ Cable (#F5RZ-14300-EA) and Tighten Properly, or, if the Terminal on the Alternator is Damaged, Replace the Complete Unit, as Well as the Cable. This Only Applies to the 1995-98 Contour / Mystique.
